Tregitope World Tour 2011
Tregitope offers an opportunity to rethink protein therapeutics, immunogenicity and tolerance. Evidence is accumulating that Tregitopes are the ‘natural off switch’, leading to suppression of inflammatory T cell responses, and modulating the phenotype of antigen presenting cells. Learn more about Tregitope by participating in the following conferences where the collective work of the Tregitope researchers will be presented . . . Continue reading

Immunogenicity: Determinants and Correlates
A ‘don’t-miss’ meeting of academic researchers, immunologists, and industry scientists gathering to discuss in silico, in vitro and in vivo drivers of human immune response. The meeting is followed by a hands-on training in immunoinformatics (TRIAD Toolkit) and the annual Tregitope meeting (discussion of tolerance-inducing Tregitope). Continue reading

4th Tregitope Update – Open Meeting May 11 2011
Tregitopes are small peptidic regulatory T-cell epitopes derived from human immunoglobulins that activate regulatory T cells (Tregs). Tregitope therapy has broad-reaching implications, offering new treatments for autoimmune diseases (e.g. type 1 juvenile diabetes, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus), allergies, and transplantation rejection. In previous meetings, the members of the Tregitope Collaborators team have demonstrated the immune suppressive capacity of Tregitopes. Ongoing research in the laboratories of the collaborators seeks to define the mechanism by which Tregitopes regulate immune responses and thereby accelerate the translation of this novel therapy to the clinic. Continue reading

Immunogenicity Seminar @ Westin Tokyo 2011
Expert immunologist and Biotech CEO Dr. Annie De Groot of EpiVax, Inc. who is also faculty member of the Brown University Medical School and Professor at the University of Rhode Island, will provide a detailed discussion of immunogenicity and tolerance for a highly selected audience. We will address the following important questions:
(1) What drives the immunogenicity problem for protein drugs?
(2) How can regulatory T cells be engaged to control immunogenicity through Tregitopes?
(3) What are the best means to predict and prevent immunogenicity? Continue reading
