4th Computational Vaccinology Workshop at ISV

The 4th Computational Vaccinology Workshop at ISV (CV4 @ ISV) is a satellite workshop held Saturday, October 25th prior to the 8th Vaccine & ISV Annual Global Congress in October 2014. The goal of this workshop is to provide a platform for international collaboration and sharing of information on the topic of computational vaccinology.

The Vaccine & ISV Annual Global Congress, co-organized by the Vaccine journal and the International Society for Vaccines (ISV), is the largest non-commercial conference in the vaccine field and attended by vaccine experts and researchers around the world. The journal Vaccine (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/vaccine/) is the pre-eminent journal for those interested in vaccines and vaccination. ISV (http://www.isv-online.org/) is an international organization that engages, supports, and sustains the professional goals of a diverse membership in all areas relevant to vaccines. The 8th Vaccine & ISV Annual Global Congress (http://www.vaccinecongress.com/) will be held October 26th – 28th 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Abstract submissions are due August 4th for full-length papers and August 25th for posters – submission details here

2014 marks the fourth year of the Computational Vaccinology Workshop at ISV, previously known as the ISV Pre-conference Computational Vaccinology Workshop (ICoVax). Last year’s workshop, held in Sitges, Spain, featured researchers and bioinformaticians from around the world with informative presentations covering computational methods to better understand viruses and design more efficient, safe and efficacious vaccines. The workshop also featured a live demonstration of the interactive vaccine design platform, ISPRI, as well as a poster session. To view the ICoVax 2013 Program click here. Three papers from the workshop were selected to be published along with the proceedings as a supplement to the journal BMC Bioinformatics. Those papers may be found here.

We invite you to join us for this year’s iteration of the Computational Vaccinology Workshop. Stay tuned for more information about abstract submission and registration.
